I came to audio description in 2020 when I began training with Audio Description Training Retreats led by Colleen Connor and Jan Vulgaropulos. Through their level 1 program, I learned the basics of writing and voicing AD. I then applied these skills to my performance work to write and voice AD for two of my own shows in 2021 - Coverture presented by Roulette and Carl Soprano: The Day I Became a Minimalist presented by Abrons Art Center. In 2022, I completed ADTR level 2 Writing for the Screen with Colleen Connor and Melissa Hope. Upon completing their program, I quickly began audio describing professionally for live performance in NYC including Heather Christian's award-winning show "Oratorio for Living Things" at Greenwich House, and a dance performance by Rashaun Mitchell and Silas Reiner entitled "Retrofit: A New Age".
I provide AD for live performance, film, television, architecture, and visual art. I also provide consulting services for artists looking to integrate AD into their work. To inquire about any of these services, please reach out via the contact page.
